Free cardio workout videos for heart health

83 videos that keep your heart rate up — the kind of exercise that builds heart and lung (cardiovascular) fitness — from indoor walking and gentle low-impact aerobics to step, intervals, rowing, indoor cycling, swimming-pool workouts and boxing to music. Several were made by NHS and hospital cardiac-rehab teams and the British Heart Foundation.

The World Health Organization advises adults to do 150 to 300 minutes of moderate aerobic activity a week, or 75 to 150 minutes of vigorous activity, and to move more and sit less (WHO 2020). Moderate means you can talk but not sing; every bit counts, and you can build up from a few minutes.

The cardiac-rehab classes were made for people recovering from a heart attack, heart surgery or another heart problem: if that is you, follow your own rehab team’s advice on how hard to work. If you have a heart condition or chest pain, or have not been active for a long time, check with your doctor before you start.

The videos belong to the people who made them and play from YouTube. The titles and notes are Notbroken’s own, written from what each teacher actually does. General instruction, not advice for your body: warm up, take the easier options, and stop if a move hurts sharply or you feel chest pain or dizziness. About & safety
