- Freeze the strawberries overnight if you like a colder, chunkier shake, then take them out about 30 minutes before blending so they soften a little. 0:51
- Put 1 cup strawberries in the blender with ¾ cup unsweetened macadamia or almond milk, ¼ cup heavy cream, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 4 tsp MCT oil and 1 tsp vanilla. 2:02
- Add 2 tsp powdered sweetener (or a few drops of stevia) only if your strawberries aren't very sweet. Use a powdered sweetener, not granular. 2:08
- Blend until as smooth or as chunky as you like, scraping down the sides if needed, then divide between two glasses. 2:30
Tip. For a thicker shake the cook suggests 1 tbsp chia seeds soaked in half the milk, 1–2 tbsp cream cheese, or a scoop of whey protein (add their carbs). Without the MCT oil it is about 80 kcal lighter a glass.
