- Melt the peanut butter and butter together in the microwave (or a small pan) and stir until smooth. 0:33
- Add the protein powder, powdered sweetener, almond flour, hemp seeds and the salt (if your peanut butter is unsalted). 1:09
- Work everything together into a stiff dough, adding the caramel or vanilla extract. 2:15
- Work the mini chocolate chips through the dough. 2:37
- Warm a little dough between your hands, squeeze it together and roll into 1-inch (2.5 cm) balls — about 20. If it crumbles add a little oil; if it sticks add a little more almond flour. 2:45
- Set the balls on a tray lined with wax or baking paper and refrigerate for about an hour to firm up. 3:46
Tip. Leave out the salt if your peanut butter is salted. Any nut butter works in place of peanut butter, and egg-white or plant protein can replace the whey.

Vitamin C0%
0 mg a serve, mostly from hemp seeds (100%). An antioxidant needed for collagen, immunity and iron absorption. Long cooking destroys some, so raw herbs, citrus and capsicum help.
Vitamin D0%
0 µg a serve, mostly from butter (100%). Helps you absorb calcium for bones and supports muscles. Few foods have much — oily fish, eggs, UV-exposed mushrooms, fortified milks. Sunlight is the main source.
