Step by step 7

Tap a time to watch that step in the video.

  1. Running man: feet together, lift the right knee, land with the right foot in front, then switch. 0:14
  2. The running man slowly with counts, then faster and from behind. 2:02
  3. T-step: get comfortable on one foot; the outside foot travels heel in, then toe in. 2:48
  4. T-step both ways, adding the tap: tap out as the heel goes in, lift as the toe comes in. 5:21
  5. Combine them: running man, then switch into the T-step whenever a foot is up. 7:30
  6. Running man variations: land the foot behind, a skiing style, then travelling and turning. 9:36
  7. T-step variations: tap in any direction and pivot the knee in and out. 11:25

The steps are a summary in our words, checked against the video — the coach shows every move.

Form cues from the coach

  • Running man: keep your weight centred as the front foot slides and the back foot hops
  • T-step: the outside foot travels heel in, toe in, while the other foot taps
